PARTY TIME 2011

There are so many things I'm noticing these days..........for example do you know most young people in Jamaica do not drink beer anymore .....they say it takes 5 beers to give them a kick and they urinate too much, whereas one rum gets them going. Are these young people aware how much sugar they are consuming especially when they chase their rum with soda?
Then do you notice how young people - the 25's and under - dance these days ? .... well I went to a young people party the other nite - first of all the DJ said "come closer - remember this is not Stone Love or Renaissance - we use monitor boxes we don't have big speakers so you have to come closer" continued the DJ .....really??????
The best comment of the night was when the slow music started playing the DJ said "rock your arms from side to side and look at the one beside you" - surely he was joking !
These young people can't slow dance, 3 step and 2 step doesn't exist so they 'rock their arms from side to side' - in fact the guys only dance to the girls' backs and they bend down and wine their bottoms in the air while the men mount them doggie style.......WHAT MADNESS !!! I AM TRULY OLD!
The girls walk up and down and model their outfits and the men stand there all bleached so their tattoos glow like Vybz Kartel, digging out the middle of their palms to knead their weed, then they buy a 750ml bottle of vodka or rum and if they really have money a bottle of Hennessy and 6 chasers usually cranberry or Ting and when the bottle is finished next person in the group buys.........the least clothes and the more false hair the girls have on, the more they have arrived....by the way did I tell you that parties are held 7 days a week? And they really say they have no money ? They must be kidding!
What age will these young people reach and how will they look?
I give thanks I was born at a time when we danced from we arrived at the party until we left........ (that means we didnt drink as much) we thought FUN CAN'T DONE! Well I have news for my contemporaries - IT DONE!
