SUPPLEMENTATION

One thing that i`ve noticed with age I hate to sleep away from my bed..........I love my home, I want no home away from home I want home. The one I go to every evening and climb in my bed.
Been in Dallas Texas for the past week.....yes i`m fine thanks to those who asked what happened to my blog.......i`m back and as they say EVERTHING IN TEXAS IS BIG....what a large strange town is dallas?
Looking on the grassy knoll by where they shot President Kennedy gave me an eerie feeling........i guess i watched it too often on TV.
Now that i can`t eat Black angus steaks anymore, looking on as other people devoured them broke my heart......but one has to do what one has to do.....
Did well this trip ate salads, not good as i can`t have those processed dressings and greens without seasonings are not my thing, drank green tea ,lots of water and sushi........
I went to a Mannatech seminar which is all about wellness and it was great to see how glyconutrients helps from lupus, to cancer and from achey knees to depression........then to make what i just learnt this week a sure shot, I watched The View this morning, and they were talking about a special coming on ABC either tonight or tomorrow night, saying that people have the potential to live to 150 which i told u before on a previous blog, and they show 5 people who are well on the way to that, busy getting on with life. One gave herself a new car for her 100DRETH birthday, guess she is still driving.....One has a 94 year old boyfriend and what all of them have in common is attitude. Passion for life so they keep themselves busy...........
When we eat right,take our supplements, exercise and keep our minds active, whats going to happen to the world? Is it prepared for us to live till 150?
I think not!

STILL MUSING

I have to muse again..do u believe that while America is taking apart Governor Spitzer and his PERSONAL life America is having a major meltdown, in the words of Alan Greenspan "this is the worst financial crisis since world war1".
Look at the BEAR STEARNS debacle while president Bush doing his soft shoe .
Do we remember while Nero fiddled Rome burnt?
Now they have taken on the new Governor and his wife, but they just laid it out on the table one time, YES, they have had affairs so let's move on..........
Its not funny any more. They killing themselves with Rev. Wright while people are losing their houses right left and center and the government bailing out the big boys. Don`t u just love it? They really care for their people don`t they?
Do u know that the people from New Orleans are still displaced and the last thing now is their trailers are not safe...... I think they have been found to be filled with formaldehyde or some such thing....... Its too much....
Now race is the name of the game. Well its good for Obama to get it out of the way as it would follow him straight till November, now its everybody`s business not just his..............
I must say he can talk,reminds me of Michael Manley.
I once stood for 7 hours at the stadium listening to him and believe me it wasn`t boring...He had Jamaica in the palm of his hands but he did let us go didn`t he?


U know i`m learning a lot about ego.......I thought we needed to be rid of ego, but u just need to be aware of it "awareness is the power that is concealed within the present moment" - Eckhard Tolle - "A new earth".
Its been amazing, this lesson, and being aware of when u r messing up is just wonderful as u can catch yourself and be better.
This book has also been answering all kind of questions like why do people lie and pretend they are what they are not?
Why do we constantly need so much attention? We start that act from we r babies crying and behaving badly to get attention........I`ve been having one "aha" moment after another........I remember all my manipulations.........
People tell me they are shy therefore they don`t have an ego...Well guess what? they do.....They believe they are inadequate so they try and not put themselves in situations where they can be criticized...so whether u think u are wonderful or u think u are not good enough, its ego........And playing the victim, well u know all about that..........So stop complaining, be in the present, stop going back to the past and don`t bother put yourself in the future. If u do that u cannot enjoy the present and we need to do just that.........Be here 100%.

Is Obama diluting his beliefs to stay in the run for president of the United States Of America?
What did the Reverend say that was wrong? MSNBC said before bringing on a clip of one of his sermons that children should leave the room...then proceeded to play what? nothing....the reverend saying that Obama knows the black experience and Hilary does not?? Isn`t that so ?........Isn`t it true that America has made numerous enemies over the years with their policies?? Come on!! What are they going to try next ?....Looking in Obama's face, he looks so tired, extremely weary...... I`m sure Michele is in his ears every night that its not worth it. Have u noticed from they attacked her she has been off the scene?

U know i used to think Professor Randy Pausch was being morose but now i understand that to get your message across sometimes u have to use your illness...........
I keep being faced with the fact that my cancer experience is why i am able to help people but i`m not my cancer experience. So the Professor is showing us to die with grace and whats wrong with that?

Went to Veggiefest in Negril yesterday and noticed that everyone has something going on re:wellness....if its not a machine to clean your body, its a machine to put u back together. As one person told me, u can clean yourself the long way by eating foods to detox u or u can clean yourself the quick way by "this" machine...... Then while i was being shown how the machine worked someone standing beside me said "here they do it by machines but i use your body to do the same thing"......the experience was hilarious. If anything i saw there works, there would be NO sick people............

Does anyone listen to themself when fighting to be right, since doing this class on ego i have been tuned into how we thrive on wanting to be right .....at all costs we MUST be right .......why? Eckhart Tolle says to be right, u need to make others wrong in order to get a stronger sense of who u are...........look around u and u will see how true that is .........listen to yourself. It's amazing how many times i heard myself in times gone by saying "i think i know a little more than u" on whatever subject i was discussing......... GROWTH FEELS SO GOOD....... BEING NONREACTIVE.
CAN U IMAGINE NOT GETTING CAUGHT UP IN THE DRAMA OF LIFE?

MY STROKE OF INSIGHT

How many of us have had the opportunity to be able to know exactly what is happening to us when we are having a stroke? This lady did and on top of that made me know for sure the power of the universe .
This is one of the most amazing things i`ve watched in a long time, science meeting the universe......It also comes at a good time in my life .....This is exactly what the class, being hosted by Oprah that i am participating in, is all about, so it confirms there are no coincidences in this world.
Looking on this video i said to myself ,this is a mad woman. Judging, but taking it back quickly, as when u realize what u r doing u can correct...... i`m learning.
What is madness? It's simply the chatter that goes on in our mind that we can`t quiet and some of us have to answer as it gets too loud and angry.

CHEMO BRAIN

I was watching TV this morning and heard 2 of the talking heads saying that why Geraldine Ferraro was making these comments is because she has "chemo brain."
That comment brought back such memories. I still have "chemo brain" as honestly i have to admit my brain still hasn`t come back. I remember nothing, and u feel u are in a fog 24/7, but guess what ? U ARE IN A FOG 24/7. This drug kills everything in you and the healthy cells are supposed to grow back.......Do they always grow back? NO..........THEY DON`T.
I saw Mrs.Ferraro this morning on TV and u can see she is being ravaged..........It's not only externally, Think what must be happening inside?
I was telling my husband about it and he said that he saw a man on BBC talking about the fact that while he was doing chemo he went outside by his pool one late afternoon and he noticed that the mosquitoes that bit him dropped dead immediately....He was that toxic.
I REST MY CASE.
My holistic practitioner tells me my 2 rounds will take 2 years to come out my body. All of these people having chemo for 1 year how long will that take to come out their bodies ?
How bad will their "chemo brain" be?
They say that cancer etc. comes in when your body gets acidic. Isn`t it easier to try and keep your body alkaline? Why do we not heed the warnings when we get them? I look around me and i think one of the reasons is attention. We thrive on the attention we get when we are sick.
Don`t we just love the visits? When i think about it I haven`t seen lots of my friends since i`ve "recovered" some don`t even call. So u stay sick so you get the attention that you need.
Well all u have to do is call them, they are still your friends, they still love you, u are just not the focus of their attention anymore.
Some of us thrive on having headaches, the favourite one being migraines, when u ask them how are they its always a long story on the latest ailment....
The older you get the more needy u get as the children are busy with their lives so to see them more u get sick. We need to stay healthy so we can go and look for them, and offer help where we can.
We need to stop crying wolf as there are enough wolves out there ready to bite us, AND BITE US THEY WILL.

KEEP YOUR COLON CLEAN

Lots of news on colon testing out this week. They have realized that they are missing the cancer signs when the lesions are flat instead of being raised . Everyone is used to polyps that stick off. Well they have found that there are lots of others lurking on the walls (read NY Times article) .
They are also finding new ways to do tests ....See NY Times article on Two Newly Recommended Colon Tests. I don`t envy them, going through a whole bowel movement instead of pushing a tube up, but anything that helps......
I have always wondered why if u have several feet of colon why would u have a sigmoidoscopy? Why not go the whole hog and do a colonoscopy?
I never realized we had so much colon till i lost some of mine and 28 years later heard i had lots more to lose. We don`t realize how many loops and curves your food has to go through to get out....and when we eat things like plastic (margarine) we have no hope of it coming out in this lifetime........
All i know is that test, yes, but try and prevent, so eat to clean your bowels daily so no toxins will be left behind. Just add more and more raw as u go along. Remember fruit is "raw food."
This food thing has me learning what takes 3-10 days to come out and what comes out same day.
Imagine a steak that takes several days to come out, being eaten by someone who suffers from constipation. Sorry to be gross, but imagine the smell coming out, after it has sat in our intestines for days.
When u question someone who suffers from constipation its usually "i don`t like the taste" - that's the answer to why they don`t drink water. Then it's "I don`t eat them " that's the answer to do they have vegetables in their diet. Then they proudly tell u they go to the bathroom once or twice per week. So where is all the dumplings and rice going ?
I remember i didn`t use the bathroom for over a week regularly, in fact i never went to the bathroom regularly from childhood. When i think about it now i shudder, where was all that steak and jerk pork going? Where was the 7 Pepsi`s per day lodged? Vegetables was something for vegetarians. Only thing i liked and still do is fruit. I proudly announced that i would go to New York and not use the bathroom till i returned home ( i can`t bring my self to write how long i would have been away for ) I hear people telling me now that they can only use their bathrooms at home so they hold it and by the time they reach home the moment has passed..........Living like that doesn`t work. Once a day is not even what we are supposed to do. Every time we eat what is up there should be pushed out. No wonder i got in trouble EARLY.
Most of u get in trouble later, but look around u it seems we all are getting in trouble these days..........

PUT YOUR SIGNATURE ON THE JOB

SERVICE.......WHAT DO WE THINK ABOUT SERVICE?
I work in a hospitality environment. Things like holding a door comes naturally to me. I now watch hotel workers push past guests instead of holding the door for them, and going through after. It's amazing to me.
Every day i preach to my staff SERVICE IS AN ATTITUDE , NOT A DESTINATION, hoping they will get it .Some do, some don`t but i wake up the next day and preach it again.
They say i`m miserable but they also say when they leave me and go elsewhere they hear me. My favourite one is U TAKE YOURSELF WITH U WHERE EVER U GO. They quote that to each other all the time..........So somethings do sink in.
When we are working, do we ask how is what we do making someone`s life better? That's the purpose of work. When the heart is in the right place the ego gets out the way . That's when great service comes in.
Put your signature on the job. We are only remembered for running the extra mile. We are never remembered for just getting by.
Why do people come back to us? It's not because we are friends. It's not because we are cheaper. It's because we gave great service, made them feel special. We did something that no one else does, THAT'S PUTTING OUR SIGNATURE ON THE JOB.
I watch members of staff doing "lick and promise" work racing through to get the tip and then get to someone else quickly to collect another tip. When, if they gave great service to the one in their chair ...not only would the tip be big but the person would come back before they leave , so they would get twice. PLUS we have so many returning guests they would be asking for them when they come back.
We chase money .....We don`t understand that if we work from our passion money must come.
We can`t do anything for anyone without knowing how much we will be paid.....Teamwork is a foreign word to us.....We can help no one only ourselves, we give nothing but expect to get.
In my industry the best thing to give is a smile but u wouldn`t believe how stingy we are with that and that costs us nothing to give.
A simple thing like time when its slow everyone wants to leave early or come in late yet if u ask for an hour extra they want overtime...no giving to get.......We` re not into quantity or quality.
That old saying that our mothers used to drill into us. IF SOMETHING IS WORTH DOING ITS WORTH DOING WELL still stands.

OPRAH'S CLASS

Well this man Eckhart Tolle, I swear he is from another planet.....He is on another plane. 10 weeks time, after the class that Oprah and himself are having i must have reached a better place in my life and i thank UCT and especially Rev. Sheila Mckeithen for putting me on this path as trust me i wouldn`t have liked to be just starting out last night.
Of the 500,000 people from all over the world who tuned in last night, maybe 100,000 of us will get it, but it's still 100,000 more of us understanding that we are all spirits having a human experience and not the other way around. If we can just raise our conciousness we are well under way .
Can u imagine as more of us come to truth what a world we will have ? Can u imagine when we understand we cannot die, we just transform , we will stop this weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. What a state of calm?
We might also understand once and for all that we need to take care of our temples and not let them break down and leave us before we are ready to make our transition......
Today i stood in the bank and looked at the senior citizens section and the people there i`m sure not more than in their late sixties, few in there had reached 70, they all looked like 112......some were barely shuffling, some needed to be helped, all who didn`t have a stick had a walker...it was sad to see.
It is not only our minds that needs help our bodies need help too.
But maybe when we fix our minds we will realize our bodies need to be worked on too.
How many of us can understand that if things are not right WE need to change, not the people around us. Only thing we need to do with the people around us is make sure we keep company with "like" and not drag ourselves down with negative.
Every thing comes from LOVE and to access anything we need to be still.....If we are not still we can`t hear what life has in store for us. As Mr. Tolle explains, the question is not, what do i want out of life, it's what does life want out of you?
Life is really a journey , not a destination and i must say one thing for sure it is always interesting........

A NEW EARTH

U know when i watch games like basketball and football, i always know who is going to win by who wants it more.
This year the Giants and Patriots game was easy to call because, record or not, the Giants just wanted it more as Michael Strahan said," if we play it we might as well win it" that was his mantra. Hard to beat.
In life it always boils down to who has tapped into the universe,the energy of the persons or person.........Once u leave it to spirit life becomes a breeze. Why do we find it so hard to do?.........
Oprah`s online class starts today . Of course i`m doing it along with my bosom buddy......As she is a "retired person" lucky her, she keeps me informed and registered in these kind of things. Well this morning, i called another friend and while talking to her i realized she would love this class but i hesitated as she would have had to have the book so it was looking like i was too late. Anyway i decided to take the plunge and said to her that Oprah was having this class on this book "A NEW EARTH " she said "u mean the book by Eckhart Tolle?"
I said "yes" she said "someone just loaned it to me i started reading it yesterday." The rest is history we are all on line tonight at 9 doing class. Spirit always puts u where u r supposed to be...IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO BE AWAKENED TO A NEW LIFE.
My friend who just enrolled at the last minute also informed me that she thinks because its the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King's death, Obama is running on spirit ...RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME.........
I watched Drew Barrymore give away a million dollars this evening and said if everyone who is getting 12 million and up for a movie gave a million what a world we would have.....We wouldn`t have to see a woman saying she tied her stomach with a rope so she didn`t feel the hunger because she had to feed her children first. She lasts on water for up to 3 days.
We all have something to give be it a smile or a listening ear, and those of us who don`t need another pair of shoes or have clothes that we never reach to in the closet, we need to rethink our life...I watched on Oprah (of course) these people who are called "freegans",they get their food etc from garbage cans and furniture from dumpsters . They are not homeless or poor, they are doctors, engineers etc. who think there is too much waste going on in the world. I`m not saying u should be doing this but if u saw what people threw away......Unbelievable. They said garbage cans in front of restaurants and bakeries are the most rewarding. It's not gross as the things are still packaged, not touched.......I believe this, as if u went into the hotels garbage u would raise a lot too as we can`t reuse food so if we put bread on the table for u and u don`t eat it we have to throw it away. This happens all over i`m sure.
THERE IS TOO MUCH WASTE IN THE WORLD. As they said on the Oprah show today 59 million children go hungry across the world every day and there is a war going on costing BILLIONS!
