Colorectal cancer increasing in the young

Colorectal Cancer Increasing in Young screamed the headline.......how can that be when overall incidence rates for colorectal cancer have declined over the past 2 decades.........especially recently as we have become more aware, not to mention Katie Couric's campaign on the importance of having a colonoscopy.
According to a study published in this month’s issue of Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers & Prevention, colorectal cancer rates are dropping 2.8% per year in men and 2.2% per year in women, BUT DUE TO YOUNG PEOPLE'S LIFESTYLE THE INCREASE IN THE AGE GROUP 20-29 years ROSE BY 5.2% IN MEN AND 5.6% IN WOMEN.
That's frightening! But I could have told them that.....young people think they are indestructible so they eat like there is no tomorrow. My eldest son never met a piece of jerk pork he didn`t eat, along with jerk sausage and a couple festivals MADE WITH WHITE FLOUR wash it down with some Magnum and there is his fabulous meal.....Vegetables......what's that?
His mother is a multiple cancer survivor so he should take a little more care than that.......Red meat and processed meats are the loves of young people these days, they prefer to go to a steak house or eat pepperoni pizza than say a vegetable pizza.....Hamburgers, french fries, you name it - bad for them - they love it more!
Then there is the smoking of cigarettes and weed. THIS is the next thing that young people do without any regard to the fact that unfiltered smoke is the worse for you so there is nothing healthy about weed.....they smoke as if someone legalized it.
I have two words for them..... LUNG CANCER!
The sodas and energy drinks which you can`t pronounce what's in them,is young people`s drink of choice,so it makes it less likely they will be around for long, and that's a shame as science is showing us that living right and tuning up our body means we can live to 150.
Look on some of them ,they look like old, old people.......
Talking about our age group is it that we ate so badly that we poisoned these children's minds ? Or are our our own minds poisoned why we are addicted to snicker bars etc.? Well this NY times article How the Food Makers Captured Our Brains has an interesting take on the matter.

MJ - PEACE AT LAST!

MJ...........A warm and gentle soul finally getting the love he so craved all his life. Has anybody gotten this before I'm trying to wrack my brain ? I guess Elvis died before the 24 hour news reports but I`ve never seen this before except for Princess Diana.
People just spontaneously celebrating his life and enjoying his music..waking at 3am to get ready to head out to give a talk there is LARRY KING STILL ON THE TV ... Can`t be happening....is there no other news is nothing else happening ?
Of course he knocked Farrah off the news - people were remarking about it but it didn`t need to be remarked on, she was not in his league..The world is now in shock! The little black boy from Gary Indiana is the biggest performer we have seen...
I would like to ask one question....Do we really believe as we bought out the tickets to his concert in London in a record time of 5 hours that this man that could barely walk and had to use a wheelchair was going to be able to perform as we remembered? They say he was looking good in rehearsals....now we`ll never know and I for one prefer he goes out on top.
He is in a better place now and will not be WACKO JACKO in the media anymore....His true legacy will live on.... a pure heart.
He was a musical genius who worked ceaselessly to perfect his art - in his own words:
"In the end, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and those you love and work hard. Work like there's no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree. Be the best at what you do. Get to know more about your field than anybody alive. Use the tools of your trade, if it's books or a floor to dance on or a body of water to swim in. Whatever it is, it's yours. That's what I've always tried to remember." - Michael Jackson

Thanks for leaving my Ipod full of your music, MJ.......MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE.

FARRAH FAWCETT`S COCONUT CREAM PIE

THIS IS SAD, JUST SAD................THIS IS LIKE ME WITH MY PLATE OF STEW PEAS WITH THE BIG, FATTY PIG'S TAIL smiling broadly at the camera for a picture taken for Nyam Jamaica about one month before my last diagnosis ...........difference is I changed my diet......Farrah didn`t!
I again watched with horror the segment in the documentary Farrah's Story where they showed her baking cream pies . How come nobody suggested that she needed to change her diet? With her fighting spirit who knew what the outcome would have been?
Check out this recipe for Farrah's Coconut Cream Pie that she shared with Good Morning America prior to the opening of her last movie The Cookout - no doubt the ingredients are similar to the pies that she was baking in the documentary:
Ingredients
1 frozen ready-to-bake pie crust (9-inch)
3 eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of corn starch
1 can unsweetened coconut milk (13.5 ounces)
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
Cooking Directions
Preheat oven to 325 F.
In a medium-sized bowl whisk eggs thoroughly. Whisk in whole milk slowly to thoroughly combine. In another medium-sized bowl, whisk the sugar and corn starch together.
Whisk in the coconut milk. Whisk the egg/milk mixture into the coconut mixture making sure the combined mixture is thoroughly smooth and there are no lumps.
Place the frozen pie crust on the bottom rack of the preheated oven. Carefully add the combined coconut mixture. Top with 1/2 cup of the flaked coconut.
Bake for 30 minutes. Carefully move pie to the top rack of the oven and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of flaked coconut. Continue baking for an additional 30 minutes until the pie sets and the coconut flakes on top turn golden brown.
Carefully remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Now that is cancer in waiting!

EAT RIGHT & BELIEVE

Watching Michele Obama talk about trying to get her family to eat right made me realize how good she is for America as she is so real......It's not easy, but as she says it has to be done because she had seen the effect bad eating habits was having on the health of her children.....That's the truth but most of us don`t realize that asthma and diabetes etc. can all be traced back to food and what we are ingesting.
The colds and flus are due to us having low immune systems so all viruses come calling. Adults and children in the raw food world don`t suffer from colds and flus check it out.........strong immune systems!
Mrs.Obama's garden is key as she knows what she is eating...the problem with our foods now is that we don`t know what we are eating.......
I recently saw an article in The Independent newspaper that said that we must cook carrots whole not cut it up as carrots cooked whole are "better at fighting cancer” . The article went on to say that a study had found that when carrots are cooked whole, they contain 25% more of the “anti-cancer compound” falcarinol than if they are chopped up first. It also reported that boiling carrots whole retains more of their natural sugars, "making them taste better as well." Who knew that? Then there is the fact that I can hardly find any grapes with seeds so there you are, thinking you doing good eating grapes and steaming your carrots and you're not helping a thing. We could be making it worse, plus we have to remember to soak these fruits that we eat to get off the herbicides and insecticides, you know I never tire of telling you that as I have learnt the hard way.
I spoke to a lady yesterday who told me that buying organic was too expensive. She is on her 4th round of chemo in 3 years.........I couldn`t believe ...I had to point out to her that obviously chemo isn`t working and maybe it was time she tried something else.....plus buying organic or buying chemo which one is cheaper?
Another thing I recognized in her which I also saw in my friend who died recently ..the loss of mental energy. She was paying me lip service.... yes , she wanted to live .....yes, she had a wonderful family but it wasn`t coming from her core........in other words she didn`t have the fighter spirit, she felt defeated and it showed. So she is going through the motions but she really doesn`t believe.....NEWS FLASH....your mind is the biggest asset in the cancer fight...YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE TO ACHIEVE!

Gleaner article

This morning I went on TWITTER and there was a posting from one of the cancer groups I follow saying "PAT WRIGHT BEATS CANCER 3 TIMES" and a link, I said to myself - you mean there is another Pat Wright that's fighting cancer ? I went on the link and lo and behold it was an article in Flair in today's Daily Gleaner from an interview I had done with Janet Silvera some time ago. The overwhelming response I've received so far from people who have read this article made me know that I have to write my book.....when you go to death's door and get another chance at life you wonder what the Father saved you for, well the Father saved me 3 times so far so it must be to help people. I have so much to say plus I have one hell of a story...I need to tell it all and soon.
I thought the article was pretty good except for the last paragraph that contradicted the rest of the article. People who know me wondered who was that talking as I would never say about chemo "the simple answer is that it works" as the answer to why we take chemo.... I was talking about the path I have taken with Glyconutrients and changing my diet. I know the reason we believe that chemo is the only path to take is because we`ve been brainwashed to believe that and once you get the dreaded diagnosis you are going to fight with any means possible. We feel it's the only way we will have a chance to live.........most of us don`t realize that we would never want to live after chemo is finished with us anyway.
Those of you who read my blog regularly know that I feel that chemo only helps certain cancers- I am a living example of radiation helping bone cancer- but if you can be healed by natural means grab it and leave the heavy toxins out of your body.......Plus I don`t know many oncologists who explain anything to you except the usual hair loss and nausea, hands and feet turning black, not being able to hold anything cold etc. No one told me it would take 2 years to get the toxins of chemotherapy out my body.......My holistic practitioner told me that!
To all the persons who have written to me asking for advice , I need to make this clear - I`m no doctor , I`m only telling you what worked for me and remember we are all different! One thing I'm convinced about though is that eating unprocessed, natural fruits and vegetables and taking glyconutrients, drinking purified water, cutting out all sugar and seeing a holistic practitioner once per month and most important leaving the stressful lifestyle behind is why I`m here right now...
It's a hard road to trod as I could do with some jerk pork from Scotchies right now, but trust me it's not worth it!

TRY HERBS INSTEAD

When you are ill try the herbs and the natural remedies before the chemicals , do I beg you, as if you go straight for the antibiotics and the pain killers that cover the root cause by treating only the symptoms, trust me the root cause will be back again.
Everybody has the flu and not only swine flu, good old regular feel-bad flu..I have a friend that went for the chemicals (I won`t call any names) and another that went for a tea made of a teaspoon of honey, pinch of cayenne pepper, 1/2 a lime, 1 teaspoon cider vinegar.....both had sore throats..guess which one is fine now and which one is not?.........as the tablets wear off she is tired.......
Today I have lots of good info on herbs to share , it's from Dr. Maosingh Ni`s blog 'ASK DR. MAO'.I take these things daily and didn`t know what they were doing, just knew they were good for something.....well no longer will I say I don`t like the flavour of rosemary or I don`t like peppermint tea as it reminds me of being in the hospital(in Jamaica they give you a cup of it 5 am every morning).I`ll be taking all of them. And I now know why my thyme plant died ....too much water! Here is information from Dr.Mao on 8 commonly used herbs and their healing properties :
Herbs have been part of every culture and medical tradition since the earliest humans walked the earth for treatment of everything from colds to digestive issues to depression. You may be surprised to learn that the herbs you have been regularly using to infuse your food with appetizing flavors also have amazing healing abilities. They are easily grown in your own home so you can have them on hand to use whenever the urge to cook strikes you. Read on to find the healing health benefits of these commonly used herbs.
1. Rosemary
Rosemary has been used as a brain tonic in Chinese traditional medicine for thousands of years. Rosemary contains volatile oils that help stimulate brain activities and increase brain alertness. One compound it contains, cineole, has been found to enhance the ability of rat to navigate mazes. So skip the harsh coffee and spice up your energy level with rosemary. Other benefits? Rosemary also aids in digestion and perks up your immune system. Steep it as tea, use in your poultry dishes and soups--or just crush some up to fill your home with an energizing scent.
Growing tips: Rosemary needs to live in a very sunny window and may even need supplemental light. It is sensitive to overwatering so keep it on the dry side.
2. Mint
Peppermint, spearmint, and other mint-family plants are considered one of the most versatile herbs in traditional Chinese medicine. Peppermint has many well-documented properties: It increases healthy gastric secretions, relaxes the intestines, soothes spasms, settles the stomach, and alleviates gas. In a culture marked by poor diet and digestion--and the heartburn that comes with it--peppermint can be your best friend. Additionally, peppermint is rich in antioxidants that support good vision and also cleanses your liver, helping to eliminate harmful toxins from your body. Steep peppermint as a tea and drink it a half an hour after mealtimes for untroubled digestion.
Growing tips: Mint is an easy-to-grow herb that is invasive, so be sure to grow it in its own pot.
3. Oregano
When you're suffering from cold or flu, steep oregano in a pot of water and inhale the vapors, which are antibacterial, antiviral and decongesting. This immunity-enhancing herb also settles digestion and prevents bloating.
Growing tips: Oregano needs a lot of light to grow so find a window with direct light or grow out-of-doors.
4. Sage
Chinese traditional medicine has long used sage to help prevent the loss of mental function that comes with age. Sage has been found to increase oxygen to the brain cortex and to help improve concentration. Sage is easy on the digestion. Cook it up in soups and poultry dishes.
Growing tips: Sage can be a bit difficult to grow. It is very sensitive to overwatering because it is more susceptible to mildew than other herbs.
5. Chives
A member of the garlic and onion family, chives have been used throughout history for natural healing because they contain a substantial amount of vitamin C as well as essential minerals such as potassium, calcium, iron and folic acid. In Chinese medicine they are used to clear stuffy noses, prevent bad breath, ease stomach aches, strengthen the lower back, and improve poor circulation that gives you cold hands and feet. Some serving suggestions? Chop up chives and add them to stir-fries or mix in with ground poultry to stuff ravioli or dumplings.
Growing tips: Chives are fairly easy to grow because they don't require as much light as other herbs.
6. Basil
A favorite herb in Italian cooking, basil's scent can perk up your energy level and it is filled with luteolin, a bioflavonoid that studies have shown to be the best protection of cell DNA from radiation.
Growing tips: Basil can be more difficult to grow. Your best bet is to grow it during warm, bright summer months.
7. Cilantro
Cilantro is an energy tonic that can boost your immune system and smooth out your digestion. Use it in your cooking to get its health benefits.
Growing tips: Cilantro, the name for the stems and leaves of the coriander plant, can be hard to grow. Sow the coriander seeds in a thick concentration in a shallow tray.
8. Parsley
Parsley is used in a Chinese folk remedy for cooling the liver and clearing the eyes. Parsley is packed with luteolin, and there is some evidence that this helps protect the eye from UV radiation damage and from glycation, a process in which sticky sugar molecules bind up protein, potentially damaging the retina. The age-old folk remedy recipe for vision protection is a juice blend of celery, peppermint, and Chinese parsley, made fresh daily.
Growing tips: Parsley doesn't need very much sun, but it is a slow grower, so don't expect a high yield.
Herbal Tea Recipes
Aside from use in cooking, all of the above herbs can be used to make aromatic potent teas. You may use the herbs individually or experiment with combinations. For example, to make a tea that soothes digestion and prevents bloating: Steep 1 teaspoon each of mint, rosemary, oregano, cilantro, sage and basil and in a cup of hot filtered water for five minutes.
Grow Your Own
To grow your own herbs, all you need is some terra cotta pots with drainage holes, high-quality organic potting soil, and a window sill that gets at least six hours of light per day. A southwestern-facing window is your best choice for good light. If this isn't possible, you can get a few clamp-on reflector lights with compact fluorescent bulbs and place them about six inches away from the plant. Keep in mind that overwatering is the biggest mistake people make when trying to grow herbs inside. The rule of thumb is to let the herbs dry out completely, and then water. Beginning with baby plants will be less troublesome than starting from seed. With practice, you will learn the best ways to grow and care for your indoor herbal garden
.
Oh no.......I always start from seed.....NO WONDER!

ALLERGIES

Did anyone see the mother on GMA fighting because parents sending cupcakes to school for their children and the children giving it to her children? She is fighting obesity which runs in her family and she is taking a dim view of what we are feeding our children. She is very passionate about it but seems to be making enemies as girl scout cookies etc. is in her war path, and I thought - wow I remember me and the Cancer Society and jerk pork being served at one of their functions - I backed off - she`s fighting....more power to her!
Have you noticed nowadays how every other person has an allergy ? 11 million Americans are estimated to have food allergies, caused when the digestive system reacts poorly to certain foods.....you start with parents telling you that their child is lactose intolerant and it gets worse as we get older.....some of us eat something then seconds later we can`t breathe.
Allergies must not be confused with food intolerance which unlike allergies means although you have cramps, gas and bloating you may still be able to eat small amounts of the problem food.
According to buzz here are a few foods allergy sufferers should try :
Apples
In addition to vitamin C, pectin (a soluble fiber), potassium and important phytochemicals, apples contain high amounts of quercetin, which can help reduce allergy symptoms,
Cruciferous vegetables
Some people with allergies have trouble removing toxins through the liver and kidneys, If the toxins back up into the body, it increases the chances of inflammation, which leaves an allergic person even more sensitive. Vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and cabbage greatly assist the digestive process.
Quinoa
Probably the least allergenic of the grains, quinoa’s has high protein content (12 to 18 percent)
Try this: Since breakfast is often problematic for people with allergies, try quinoa in the morning; add nuts and fruit if you can.
Lentils
These are relatively cheap so that makes lentils a superfood on all fronts. Lentils are loaded with iron, protein and folic acid. One cup has 16 grams of fiber. They’re also versatile and easy to store. If you’re allergic to peanuts, you have a 5 percent chance of having an allergic reaction to other legumes such as lentils, according to allergy expert Dr. Lee Freund, author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Food Allergies.”
Sweet potato
Nutritious and rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber, sweet potatoes are a member of the morning glory family. They are brimming with carotenoids, vitamin C, potassium, fiber and vitamin B-6, which all contribute to reduced inflammation,
Avocado
Avocados can be an ideal source for healthful fat. It’s also a natural anti-inflammatory because it has a high amount of vitamin B-6 and magnesium, Avocado is also a blood sugar stabilizer and liver cleanser which further lowers the risk of allergic inflammation.
Dulse
A red seaweed that is salty when it’s dry and slippery when you start to chew. It’s high in iodine, which is good for the thyroid. It also has calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron and other vitamins and minerals.USED A LOT IN RAW FOOD.
Rice milk
Rice is a standard hypoallergenic food. Though rice milk is low in protein, it’s a popular alternative for those who avoid cow’s milk because they are lactose intolerant.
Figs
Packed with potassium and containing more calcium than orange juice
So I`m here to tell you that soy is not the only alternative for your allergies, check what you are eating, and ease off the mucus foods and remember BREAD IS A MAJOR MUCUS FOOD!

A LITTLE ADVICE

As I`ve gotten older, I`ve become acutely aware that what we plant we certainly do reap and I ask my young friends to be ever so careful as they go about making their choices in life, always choose to plant good seeds no matter how self-sacrificial the choice may seem to you at the time, leave whatever the problem is to the universe.......the Father always knows better than you how to deal with it, as if we do plant evil, when it comes back sometimes it's a bitter pill to swallow, and I don`t know if it's because time is flying by faster than ever but it seems that what we sow comes back to us in record time these days.....I like to say it comes back by Concord!
My youngest son ( the raw food chef) did a wellness show on the weekend and he had a ball and was a great hit giving out his cards and talking about his chips and cookies. Well after the show he advised me that so and so (big name in health food here in Jamaica) told him that he was too kind and that he must not be so kind as he will be used and discarded.
I said "Why would he say that?"
He said "Because I was giving people recipes and telling them how I make my things and how to eat what's good for them.....and he said I musn`t do that I must charge for it."
Of course you know I told him "Continue being a giver as it is only in giving will it be returned to you blessed."
I don`t think anybody he was talking to had dehydrators at home, I don`t think anybody was rushing off to make walnut balls as 'live food' is so preparation-intensive that all the people asking were just thrilled to be talking to a 19 year old that obviously has a passion for what he is doing and is good at it.....plus if he helped one person eat better he achieved something !
A question I want to ask though is why do so many people in the wellness industry look so unkempt? Not because you are focusing on what you put inside your body mean that you should ignore the outside - after all aren't good grooming habits a part of good health?.....Apart from Peter , looking at many of the people at this fair did not make you feel to eat healthily ..... shouldn`t we glow so we can lead people to health ?
A quick warning to all the young people that love COKE, as in COCA COLA.......Just want to inform you that COKE ZERO is being pulled off the shelves by the Venezuelan Government due to the fact that they say its unhealthy for their citizens...hear that Jamaica!

Cancer warnings for women

I read this and thought it important enough to put it out in my blog not only for me to link you to it - it comes from MSN HEALTH:
20 Cancer Symptoms Women Are Most Likely to Ignore
Don't rely on routine tests alone to protect you from cancer. It's just as important to listen to your body and notice anything that's different, odd, or unexplainable. Here are some signs that are commonly overlooked:

1. Wheezing or shortness of breath
One of the first signs many lung cancer patients remember noticing is the inability to catch their breath.

2. Chronic cough or chest pain
Several types of cancer, including leukemia and lung tumors, can cause symptoms that mimic a bad cough or bronchitis. Some lung cancer patients report chest pain that extends up into the shoulder or down the arm.

3. Frequent fevers or infections
These can be signs of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in the bone marrow. Leukemia causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells, sapping your body's infection-fighting capabilities.

4. Difficulty swallowing
Trouble swallowing is most commonly associated with esophageal or throat cancer, and is sometimes one of the first signs of lung cancer, too.

5. Swollen lymph nodes or lumps on the neck, underarm, or groin
Enlarged lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system, which can be a sign of cancer.

6. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn't stop
This symptom usually suggests something abnormal happening with the platelets and red blood cells, which can be a sign of leukemia. Over time, leukemia cells crowd out red blood cells and platelets, impairing your blood's ability to carry oxygen and clot.

7. Weakness and fatigue
Generalized fatigue and weakness is a symptom of so many different kinds of cancer that you'll need to look at it in combination with other symptoms. But any time you feel exhausted without explanation and it doesn't respond to getting more sleep, talk to your doctor.

8. Bloating or abdominal weight gain
Women diagnosed with ovarian cancer overwhelmingly report unexplained abdominal bloating that came on fairly suddenly and continued on and off over a long period of time.

9. Feeling full and unable to eat
This is another tip-off to ovarian cancer; women say they have no appetite and can't eat, even when they haven't eaten for some time.

10. Pelvic or abdominal pain
Pain and cramping in the pelvis and abdomen can go hand in hand with the bloating that often signals ovarian cancer. Leukemia can also cause abdominal pain resulting from an enlarged spleen.

11. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool
This is a common result of diagnosing colorectal cancer. Blood in the toilet alone is reason to call your doctor and schedule a colonoscopy.

12. Unexplained weight loss
Weight loss is an early sign of colon and other digestive cancers; it's also a sign of cancer that's spread to the liver, affecting your appetite and the ability of your body to rid itself of wastes.

13. Upset stomach or stomachache
Stomach cramps or frequent upset stomachs may indicate colorectal cancer.

14. A red, sore, or swollen breast
These symptoms can indicate inflammatory breast cancer. Call your doctor about any unexplained changes to your breasts.

15. Nipple changes
One of the most common changes women remember noticing before being diagnosed with breast cancer is a nipple that began to appear flattened, inverted, or turned sideways.

16. Unusually heavy or painful periods or bleeding between periods
Many women report this as the tip-off to endometrial or uterine cancer. Ask for a transvaginal ultrasound if you suspect something more than routine heavy periods.

17. Swelling of facial features
Some patients with lung cancer report noticing puffiness, swelling, or redness in the face. Small cell lung tumors commonly block blood vessels in the chest, preventing blood from flowing freely from your head and face.

18. A sore or skin lump that doesn't heal, becomes crusty, or bleeds easily
Familiarize yourself with the different types of skin cancer -- melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma -- and be vigilant about checking skin all over your body for odd-looking growths or spots.

19. Changes in nails
Unexplained changes to the fingernails can be a sign of several types of cancer. A brown or black streak or dot under the nail can indicate skin cancer, while newly discovered "clubbing"-- enlargement of the ends of the fingers with nails that curve down over the tips -- can be a sign of lung cancer. Pale or white nails can sometimes be a sign of liver cancer.

20. Pain in the back or lower right side
Many cancer patients say this was the first sign of liver cancer. Breast cancer is also often diagnosed via back pain, which can occur when a breast tumor presses backward into the chest, or when the cancer spreads to the spine or ribs.

So many of my friends who have had cancer can attest to the fact that the first sign that something was amiss was pain somewhere in their back and when I think of myself,my shoulders killed me for 2 years - I even changed my car because I thought it was all the driving I was doing , therefore I needed more comfort -I shudder!

Back on the rock

Well its good to know I`m missed....no, I`m not sick and nothing has happened to me, I took a break from everything and went to visit my grandaughter (yes I got to see her dad too but he`s second place now) ......of course this meant no blogging as it was quite a whirlwind trip but wonderful.....first to Washington to a symposium on health called 'Cracking the Code to Optimal Health' where the star there was Phyllis Hubbard the owner of Radiant Health Strategies ........she was simply fantastic then on I went to New Jersey to visit my family.......while there a friend dragged me to the Met where they were having a exhibition on fashion and the effect that the top models over the years had on it - "THE MODEL AS MUSE" - very impressive, then we wondered around viewing the other art exhibits some impressive, some less so,e.g. Are these 'Sherwin Williams' paint chips?.... Then on to the highlight of my trip (along with Naiyah of course ) going to have dinner at PURE FOOD AND WINE .......people let me tell you do not diss raw food till you have tried this place...no dessert you eat is as good as this ....my friend who pulled me to the Met who is not a raw foodist went with me as she thought it had both cooked and 'raw' well she started to have an attitude when she learnt it was purely 'raw', by the time the food started coming her tantrum turned into coos and she ended up trying everything including the cocktails
It's not cheap by any means but well worth every cent and I thank my 2 "children" Marvin and Sarah for the treat........
