JUST A THOUGHT

OUR CHILDREN HAVE BEEN SOCIALIZED TO BE FEARFUL.DO U REALIZE THAT?
NAIYAH AND HER TRAMPOLINE MADE ME REALIZE THAT.
We sit around waiting on the worse to happen when she is as happy as a lark jumping away...........
I`M SCARED OF LIZARDS WHY? BECAUSE MY MOTHER AND FATHER WERE, THATS WHY...... AND THEY TAUGHT ME THIS FEAR. WHAT CAN A LIZARD DO TO ME? false -evidence- appearing -real....
If naiyah jumps off the trampoline whats the worst that can happen? She hurts herself,and won`t jump to the edge again........ Its not that she is dropping from far, its very close to the ground. What right do we have to put our fears onto our children?
But then on the other hand,we need to teach our children not to play around the stove not to hold hot irons etc. thats not stopping their creativity is it?.......is that even the same thing?I think not......Is this why our children are little robots?Do we put our learned fears on them?
naiyah likes to wear a panty over her all in one pajamas...what makes us tell her that is wrong?who says its wrong?thats our view........she thinks its gorgeous, and she usually color co-ordinates them perfectly......whats wrong with that?
I`ve lived long enough to see bras become outerwear,who says panties won`t become outerwear one day.......
Is that the same thing as wearing your shoes on the wrong foot?no,as that makes walking difficult wearing 2 different shoes though might be a totally different thing.....might be a hip thing to do.........i watch men wear 2 different color socks all the time.
Is it we fear people might think our children strange?
I used to swing high and fast every day at school,those swings would be outlawed now.There was no parent standing behind me pushing me........in fact we used to rip our skirts jumping out all the time.it was great fun we didn`t know we should be embarrassed........
No parents were around our jungle gym where many a bruise and bump was delivered.........I know its a different time and we fear our children being taken away by sick people but we can watch them without passing FALSE-EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL onto them.Isn`t that negativity?
DON`T WE NEED THEM TO SEE THE WORLD IN A POSITIVE LIGHT?
I think if children learn to take chances early, they soar in life...........guidance is what we should give them,not fear...........JUST A THOUGHT.
