VANITY

The mother of Kanye West has shown us the rewards of vanity.....a sensational looking 58 year old woman....educationally very sound.
Can somebody please tell me why a tummy tuck?....there r so many things sold in the lingerie dept. to give u a tuck why would she need such a severe method at her age................ Plus she was warned!
Maybe because after 23 surgeries I wouldn`t take any surgery that is not life or death.........this frivolous going under the knife I have to wonder about..........I looked at a picture of me recently and wondered who was that with that saggy face and thick waist? where had Pat gone? Then I realized i wasn`t 30 any longer and gravity has set in.
How many of us wonder who is this when we look in the mirror as we get older?
I look around at those of us who have liposucked and tummy tucked and still ate themself back into needing another round.......plus with the face is there any guarantee that we black that don`t crack won`t get keloid?.....
Its just not worth it.
I will keep my saggy face.........the face u have in your 50`s is the face u have earned, and i will buy the "SPANX," the lingerie departments` temporary tummy tuck......Anyway, why at 50 would i want to look like 30?
I love when i say my age and watch the shock on peoples faces.
Its good to be a great 55 not a "want to look 30" 55....
But, by the same token we don`t need to let ourselves go and have the bicycle tyres turning into truck tyres around our waist ,although, young girls in their late twenties have truck tyres and flaps of meat hanging over their bra straps too.
If keeping your body looking a certain way is important to u,care it,so u won`t need the knife.
What we really need is SPIRITUALITY, as once we r spiritually tuned we understand that its not the outside its the INSIDE ......
Recently it has come to light that Marcus Garvey was into "new thought" in otherwords he was a truth student.
Those of us who r truth students ourselves, would have realized that when we started to read about him. As, how could this short stocky black man who didn`t seem to have much in the looks department, behave like royalty and dress like royalty in those days.
He had to have some serious confidence to do this, and then ,cause THOUSANDS of people to "rise up" and believe in their blackness .............Its called BELIEVING IN YOURSELF, and that comes with KNOWING who u r.......Those of us who don`t KNOW who we r constantly run into problems.......

Everyone is searching for the "fountain of youth" and it seems they have found it in the plastic surgeon's chair.

"Tighter doctor, tighter"!!! is the common claim heard being made after an operation by many of the reconstructed and redesigned.

Mrs.West had her cake and not only wanted to eat it but wanted the bakery and the baker too!!.

Within the pursuit of true happiness, man chooses to go outside of himself. True peace can only be found within , but some rather to search for peace on the outside . Is this brought about by the pressures of society??, pressure to be accepted??, whatever it may be, people are succumbing to these pressures and rearranging their GOD given bodies, so much so, to the point that they LOOSE THEIR LIVES!!!!!.

Acccept yourself for who you truly are , for who you shall become and slowly becoming.

"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds."

The Master himself said that many many years ago.

Once again the need for plastic surgery etc. is a need to satisfy others, not ourselves.

Remember when your children and grandchildren say, "Why can't I? OTHER People do it or OTHER People have it, remind them that you did not name them Other.
Individuality breeds self confidence. The ability to LIKE ourselves is even more important than loving ourselves.

One Love, PJ, keep the faith
